Our Therapists

Abby Rasmussen, LPC

Abby believes we are all humans in relation with one another. She believes life and family are lived best when we are deeply connected to one another. Her work supports adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and parenting concerns, as well as children ages 3–10 and their families. Her approach is warm, trauma-informed, and person-centered, drawing from CBT, mindfulness, DBT, attachment-focused therapy, TBRI, and emotion coaching. Together with Abby, you will build insight, emotional regulation, resilience, and stronger relationships.

She doesn’t see children as problems to fix—she sees their behavior as communication. She prioritizes creating a genuine, trusting relationship where therapy feels safe, engaging, and empowering, using play, art, movement, creativity, and conversation. She also partners with parents in a collaborative, non-judgmental way, offering practical tools to strengthen connection and confidence. At the heart of her work is a simple belief: we thrive when we feel deeply connected to one another. Outside the counseling room, I recharge through creative projects, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with my husband, children, and extended family.
