I understand that the search for the right fit for therapy can feel overwhelming. I will help you feel comfortable and at ease beginning this powerful process. Focusing on building a solid connection first, I will let you lead the pace of our work together.
I approach you with an empathetic, holistic perspective to best understand your experiences in light of the whole picture of your life. I believe in a collaborative counseling experience where you, the client, are the expert on your life and I, the counselor, support you toward your goals.
My style is rooted in person-centered counseling, and pulls from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused, and motivational interviewing to best meet your needs in session. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults (ages 12 – 25), specifically with concerns surrounding depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, and life transitions. I have specialized trainings in trauma informed care, specifically, TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
I hope to empower my clients with the understanding, knowledge, and tools to effectively manage their mental health and any stressors that life throws at them! Reach out if you are interested in learning more about me and how we can work together to improve your life experience.
When I am not in the therapist chair, I enjoy running and have trained for several marathons. I love spending time outside with my Australian Shepherd puppy and connecting with my family, especially my nephews!
